Terms of Use

Last updated: October 20, 2026.

1. What Anoko is

Anoko is a game to meet the street cats of Tokyo. The photos, cat names, notes, your feline name and each cat's approximate area that you add are shared with other players. Your exact location is never shared.

2. Zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Post only street cats. Not allowed: people's faces, license plates or addresses; violent, sexual, hateful or harassing content; spam; stolen photos. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the players who post it are removed from Anoko.

3. Reporting and blocking

Every cat and photo can be reported from the app. You can block any player: their content disappears from your app immediately and we are notified. We review reports within 24 hours and remove offending content and users.

4. Cats and neighbours

Stay on public streets. Do not chase, lure, wake or feed cats, and never enter private property.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to your photos. By adding them, you allow Anoko to show them to other players. You can delete your photos at any time from the app.

6. No warranty

Anoko is provided as is, without warranty. We may update these terms. When they change, the app asks you to agree again.
